Will my $56 seats go back on sale? Or, will AA just sell them at the higher price?
And, I suppose there's no way to change the name of the passenger?

That's kind of you to inform everyone. Unfortunately, when you let them go, the seats will just be available at the current higher price. There might be a small chance the name can be changed through AA.com Web Services, but they'll probably say it would require a rebook.
That's a bummer though that you can't take advantage.
