I think the message is to choose your Skyteam partners very carefully and then educate them. A couple of years ago, when we arrived in Tpe, after a flight on SR(from Zrh), we noticed a sign on the baggage carousel with our names on it. The sign was the first thing out on the carousel and advised us to see the agent for SR(then a Skyteam partner). We were advised that our baggage had mistakingly been sent to Frankfurt on LH and would be delivered on the next frankfurt/tpe flight. We were offered $100.00 immediately for necessities . Bags were delivered the next evening.
