Yes, EVERY forum was about points and miles. I was around 3 months after FT started even though I didn't register for over 2 years. FT was a very different place than it is today, and the information shared was quite remarkable. Not what you see today. Not even what you saw when you joined.
As with many other IBB sites, as they get popular they start changing and sometimes have to add rules. It's just the nature of the internet.
