They are close enough to hold hands and social intercourse, both have lots of windows and you feel totally isolated from the whole cabin... Except when the cupboard is being accessed, but that tends only to happen after takeoff and before landing and has never been an issue for me.

That's funny, I am getting a strange feeling of déjà vu...
