Seems UA is on top of it, especially with having FA's sit down when things start to look choppy.....just last night on ATL-ORD, Ch.9 ride reports were minor to moderate chop and after two decent shakes, they sat down the FA's. On a KIX-ORD this past summer, UA delayed dinner 1.5 hours with seating the FA's because of potential bad weather and deciding to fly through some of it. Find it almost annoying on the transpacs that whnever I get up to get more water or hit the restroom, the aircraft starts to have small shimmies.......which get a little larger and the seat belt sign comes on.
