Many years ago on a delayed DL flight from
BOM-FRA, I had developed stomach-flu. I gave
a lady my First class seat in exchange for her (she was the only one in a three seat middle row. I needed to ly down ;-) )
I got medical attention @ FRA and was better off rest of the journey.
