Neither do I. However from 2008 here in the UK the government seems determined to make it compulsory for all new passport applicants to register for a new (and frighteningly intrusive) biometric ID card. Because card holders details would also be held on the NIR database (National Identity Register) then I fear the freedom to travel that you and I value so highly will become a privilege instead of a right.
