E-ticket receipts - why so impersonal?

Another e-ticket receipt drops into my inbox and I'm struck by how impersonal it is.

Dear Customer,

We have sent you this email to provide you with [various details]...
Given that the booking system knows who has booked the ticket, why not have "Dear [Name]" as the salutation. Also, is it not a good (and simple) strategy to start the message...

"Thank you for booking your flights to xxx with British Airways. This e-mail is your e-ticket receipt which shows the details of your flight and provides you with [various details]..."

Just a thought.
