I would fly DL over the others for a few different reasons based on my experiences of flying this particular route once and flying tranatlantic on all of the carriers you have mentioned over the past 8 years:
1.ATL hub advantage - nonstop services - that's ONLY provided by Delta.
2.Food - is generally the best on Coach in DL and exceptional on their BizElite cabins.
3.I hated Alitalia both times I flew them - I think everything about them is pretty sub-standard - not to mention rude FAs.
4.CO has non-stops from IAH/EWR and AA from JFK/ORD. You will spend extra time connecting through their hubs.

Here is how I would rate the airlines for tranatlantic services(a personal preference)
Delta
American
Continental
Air France
Alitalia
