United does not handle food well either. I can't count the number of times I see the FA's take the plastic wrap off the salads and return them to the cart, scraping the bottom of the tray on top with the salad. I know the trays are not sanitized, so the salad is "contaminated" by any germs that the tray bottom is carrying. I think the FDA should have inspectors riding on the airlines to monitor food handling practices in the air as well as on the ground.
