It was not an issue of race back then. It was a matter of money. Before De-Regulation air travel was a luxury and was FUN & GLAMOUROUS. They could afford to have a bar on the plane that you could walk up to. It was EXTREMELY comfortable. Air Atlanta was an attempt to go back to the days of class in airlines. Unfortunately after deregulation it was all about price. Now if blacks would have had money back then, it might have became and issue of race at that point. But it never was a concern. Neither the blacks or low class whites for that matter were going to poney up the money for a plane ticket.
