Miles & status will be honored by anonymous airline???
In the case of cessation of operations,
there are no guarantees about any airline honoring anything relating to NW except tickets, for which they are federally required to honor (on standby) for a nominal fee.
Miles and status
may be honored by another airline or Skyteam partner, however,
there are no guarantees. The popular rumor is that AA may be interested.
To conclude, if NW goes Ch. 7/Liquidation/Strike/Cessation of Operations, there are
no guarantees about anything except tickets.
