I think it's quite likely the ability to transfer to AA will happen given Citi's and AA's relationship. I also think there's zero chance you will be able to transfer to UA/CO/NW/US/HP given that Diner's Club (owned by Citi) was forced to drop them due to card exclusivity agreements once they became a MasterCard. That really doesn't leave too much. Would like the AA transfer though.
If the points were transferable to AA, then they would probably be transferable to OneWorld airlines partners...which would be great ....
