i'm white, took my first flight at age 20. knew lots of kids my age that has never gotten on a plane. not a question about black or white, but money.

airtravel was extremely rare among the common folk back in the day. remember my sister had a very important sport function somewhere and the whole community raised funds for them to fly back to ther home town. i remember my mother dressing me up for the occasion. we drove about two hours to get to the airport. was a very big deal.
