If you go in person, do they do the interview right then, or do they schedule for a later date?
Also, I assume that you can go to the airport and do the interview even if you aren't flying out (it's not past security or anything like that, is it)? Because given their hours, I'll have to go in on an off day.
Thanks for the assistance!

You will be informed of where you can go for an interview after your application has been processed and accepted. The process is pretty simple and takes only 10-15 minutes.
My interview was at YYZ in T-1, but there is a list of places from which you can select to book your interview. My impression is that CBSA does a pretty good job of capacity management so you can usually get an appointment pretty quickly. I just booked mine for a time that was a couple of hours before a flight and everything worked out beautifully.
I don't use it every trip, but when I do it is God send, ou will not regret having it!
