Definitely hold onto your Tangerine card. I lost status in 2004 after several years at E and was not sent a new AP card. I had to use 'expired' E cards for everything because my old AP card was long gone. Another idea: Keep your older status cards in your car(s) to use at Esso Stations. They have your AP# and still work to get points at the pump...regardless of whether your wife or kids (ya, right) are filling up the car.
