If you still have your Tangerine Aeroplan card, hold onto it. These were issued two summers ago to all non-status AE members as part of the rebranding exercise. At that time, the BIN and other enhancements were added to the card so AE could expand from being a FF program to a consumer loyalty program ala Air Miles. (AE elites earlier in the year had received their cards with these new numbers on them.) If you don't requalify for Prestige or any other elite status, you will likely receive a new Tangerine AE card. But just in case, hold onto it. If the card you have is the really old white one with the maple leaf, you could save it as a keepsake, but you will definitely received a Tangerine AE card once your Prestige status lapses at this time next year.
