And as I just posted in the other thread:

NEXUS AIR cards replace your CANPASS. You do have to go to a screening with US officials, but then you get one card.

There are NEXUS machines currently in YVR for entering the US, and per YYZ CANPASS folks, these "should" be in YYZ by later this year.
