Situation.

Red Master Warning light illuminates , looking at the warnings panel I notice "BRAKE TEMP".
This can be hot brakes (from a fire, bleed air leek, or whatever) or a fault.

I refer to a checklist and it says 1) Clear the warning 2)Slow Aircraft to gear speed 3) lower gear 4) wait 5 minutes... 5) if light goes out - retract gear 6) if not blow fire bottles...ect...

Everything we do is to comply with a checklist. While it may seem odd to do after 5 hrs, it needs to be done.
