It's better than CDG, of that much I certainly agree. It can be even better than LHR normally, but it doesn't work that way for me usually.
Wherever possible, I'd choose CPH over AMS, and ZRH or VIE over AMS too.
My real dislike of AMS comes from security-related matters there, including an ever growing presence of wasteful questioning by "security" that can create huge lines right at the gate itself. It was better before.
