Mrs. Lev and I flew home from ZRH today. We were not able to upgrade in advance. I left our boarding passes at the gate for potential upgrade. Oncem ost of the plane had boarded they told me that no seats were available to upgrade. When I went to actually board, the machine kicked out my boarding pass and it turned out that they had upgraded me but NOT Mrs. Lev, without bothering to ask me if we wanted to be split up.

Result: Mrs. Lev sat up front and I got her window seat in Y since they had already given away my aisle to someone else.

On the bright side, the Indian Vegetarian meal they served in Y was one of the best AC meals I've ever had AND the flight got in early.
