is it a just me, or is this a growing phenomen in france over the past few years? it seems many restaurants no longer take Amex, despite Amex stickers posted in the front window. i've even received the bill inside an Amex folio and subsequently had the restaurant refuse my Amex card, or make up some bogus excuse that the "Amex machine is broken, but the Visa/MC machine works."
