While I enjoy the drips and drabs of mileage that comes through (I've spent about $10,000 at ShopRite since the program started), there are some nice perks albeit small ones with regards to what earns mileage:

-OnePass miles are given to pre-coupon totals and pre-ShopRite PricePlus Card discounts. So even though you may redeem $50 in coupons on a $200 order, and also have a $25 free PricePlus turkey in your cart, you'll get $225 in credit towards the OnePass program

-You can triple dip + more when buying ShopRite gift cards. So if you buy a $100 gift card, you'll get $100 worth of OnePass credit + another $100 worth of OnePass credit when you redeem the card (assuming you use your PricePlus card for each transaction.) Use a CO Chase card for the giftcard purchase and earn even more miles. (Although Amex/Shoprite promotions are often better than CO Chase ones.)

-You can earn OnePass miles for prescription purchases + FSA expenses. While the Drugstore.com link on the CO shopping partners site usually yields more dollars, you can earn OnePass mileage for buying the same things at ShopRite ...often pre-insurance / pre-FSA expense rates earn the dollars. So theoretically, if you have a $150 prescription with a $10 co-pay, you'll earn mileage on the $150 purchase.

-You can continue earning other awards/credits in other existing programs... like their KidsClub, uPromise, and so on.

While 1 mile per $2 spent is still very, very tiny, it's nice to squeeze additional mileage out of these every day types of expenses. And while the mileage earnings are tiny, even with the perks listed above, it's enough to keep me from shopping at a place other than ShopRite. (However, things will get interesting when a Wegmans, the regional equivalent of the grocery store holy grail, opens later this spring nearby )
