But by far, it appears LGW/CDG are the least expensive destinations. If you can (or are desperate), include further destinations in your efforts, such as MIA/FLL or LAX. You *might* be be able to find the rate you're looking for, for the days you're looking for, withoug going direct. But there's some humor in an MSP-LAX-{MSP/DTW}-GTW routing...

Good luck, let us know how it turns out.

I know it isn't the best time, but what can I do? I have to go to this wedding as I received a drunken phone call from Sweden at a bar in Orr, Minnesota (duck hunting trip) where I was made to promise I would go. I guess I should have planned ahead a while ago, but I was worried about the labor situation.

The best rate I can find right now that will work is $1070 to either LGW or CDG. I, like you, have much more time than money so maybe I could try one of those odd routes. Do you think I could do better than $1070 in July if I try to search out one of these roundabout routes? The wedding is on the 22nd and I need a couple day buffer either side to do the cheap flight from LGW-CPH and train into Sweden and back.
