Superior Champagne in BizElite

So I unexpectedly had to fly LGW-ATL the other day. Hadn't done that route in a while. Usually BRU or AMS. Anyway, I am half asleep when the salad cart with the wine basket rolls by and stops next to me. I glimpse at a champagne bottle with a red and gold label that looks very familiar. For sure it wasn't what I thought it was. I reach over and turn the label and when I do I nearly soil my drawers.

DL was carrying Krug Grand Cuvee. The only other carriers I have experienced which served Krug were CX (still carrying it), QF (maybe carrying it?) and BA (removed it approximately a year ago). Even so, those carriers only served it in their First cabin unlike DL serving it in their Business Class.

After commenting how surprised I was to see DL stocking this, the FA replied "DL always carriers superior champagnes." I am no expert but I believe Krug rates higher than what DL has been serving the past year or so. How far Krug is above what they usually have is what I am interested to know. Can anyone here help me out?

I am also curious to know if anyone else has noticed Krug being on-board and if so, when and what route?

Thanks and happy New Year,

Chris
