Other than that, nice post. You have discovered the way I fly over 50% of the time - multiple legs of UX on the CRJ and/or EMB. Believe it or not, the exit row seats (row 8) on the CRJ aren't really any better than any other seat. No extra room. I always book 12C, which does have a little extra pitch, and then try to wangle a move to row 1 at the gate. On the EMB, you (as a 1K) can book exit row seats 9B or 9C, which have about 50" pitch - more than most domestic F! Avoid exit row 6, which seems to me to have LESS pitch than other rows.

Maybe I remembered incorrectly but I thought on that flight ua.com showed me in the back where there were three seats on the right side. I could have just not been really paying attention as I was more interested in getting out of the last row than where I was sitting in it.
