But even having them on my carry-on doesn't seem to have much use. I don't think they're considered official, as your BP or card would be.
So, are they supposed to have any other purpose than just proclaiming to others that you're a medallion? And how many people even use them?
So I've been a PM for 9 years and have always had the tag on my carry ons. There has been no practical benefit to me of having them. However, on rare occassions Delta flght attendants and other folks have noticed them and commented "oh I see your a PM".... not sure that that resulted in them treating me any better but hey, maybe it did. I agree with another poster that this is all sort of pretentious but what the heck, if it might help me in a dicey situation where it was not otherwise immediately obvious to Delta employees that I am one of their best customers, then why not use it.....
