Amex Platinum Card (MR) and American Airlines

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this forum and tried doing a thorough search to find out if there are ways to bring over American Express Membership Rewards Points to American Airlines. My personal card is the AMEX Platinum and they only allow miles to transfer to Delta, Continental and Northwest and a few others. With being based in Dallas, my airline is American. I do have Platinum status as I made about 40 round trips last year in 8 months. Does anyone know how to get creative and get MR points over to American? I have over 300,000 points to convert over. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
