I think they scrapped business class within Scandinavia around the end of 2001/beginning 2002.

Back then it made more sense since economy class included free meal and drinks as well.
The concept worked well as long as they had the Scandinavian direct concept with a sandwich/muffin and free drinks to everybody.
You don't really need business class on such a short route which is what SAS concluded as well.

The problems started when they scrapped the free food, and later also the free drinks, and people with business class tickets ended up getting...well nothing!
Now it's a joke, I hope they decide to at least keep the free coffee/tea/water, but I guess it's best not to build up any hopes.
