After years of "trying" to use MSP as a DC based traveller, I now believe DTW has the upper hand for two reasons. When you connect, there is less walking at DTW. It's one big hallway with a tram that runs up the middle. And more importantly, a DTW connection gets you more miles
Just a hair more, but if the price is the same, miles are miles.
