they used to do it quite easily, but the policy has changed (for the WORST), when my partner died 6 years ago I just had to send them proof the I was the "personal representative" for the estate and they transferred all of his miles into my account -- now if you know the deceased WP number and password just don't tell NW of the death and issue ticket(s) in your name out of that account until the miles are gone.
