It's not a joke for my fellow TG flyers, nor a typo but the FFP of Vietnam Airlines.

In a nutshell:

The unit is the Km, not the mile.

Flights on VN only, in Y and C, only Y ticket not discounted over 50%.

Y earns 70% and C 125%.

Redemption starts at 15.000 points for a domestic flight under 500km, and include companion tickets and upgrades.

2 tiers:
Silver, staight after your first flight, gives you priority waitlisting;

Gold, after 26.000km flown gives you lounge access, extra-baggage allowance, and C class check-in.

No car partner and hotel partners limited to a handfull of vietnamese hotels.


In short, no frills but the basics seem covered. I'll think I'll join to encourage them.
