You have two choices when making an award reservation and when actually going ahead to ticket it.
Choice a) Coach class award (50K r/t)
Choice b) Business class award (80K r/t)
With an award ticket, you can actually standby for a BusinessElite seat at the airport, while you cannot do that if you're upgrading into BusinessElite (either with coupons or the 40K r/t upgrade award).
