I've only been asked twice. First time the answer was no as I was not about to move to the back of a DC-9 which the back half was nothing but high school wrestlers.
Second time I asked to see the BP as it sounded too good to be true. 3A was a huge improvement over my Y seat. I was more than happy to accomodate her request. She ran into an old friend at the gate and they wanted to catch up.
