I think this is the part that's confusing him:
Full-Fare First Class passengers (F, Z, P* inventory) departing on, or connecting to or from, a domestic U.S. nonstop American Airlines transcontinental flight have Admirals Club lounge access and Flagship Lounge facility access (where available)#. No guests included in this policy.
Passengers ticketed in Premium Class(P) on 3-Class service in the New York(JFK) - Los Angeles(LAX)/San Francisco(SFO) markets have access to the Admirals Club lounge or Flagship Lounge facility where available.
I think this is an anachronism when full-fare first class on 3-class transcons used to be P. I agree that whoever rewrote this section really butchered things (presumably it'll be cleaned up after April 1), but just below that text is a box which makes it very explicitly clear which fare classes are eligible: F, Z, and P now; F and Z after April 1. So there really shouldn't be any confusion.
