You get what you pay for on Spirit...
Business Class seems fairly roomy, but on the flights I've experienced there are three rows of two seats separated from coach by only a small curtain.
Also, here's a bit of what I've experienced with Spirit Airlines in the last year:
1. Flights changed at the last second from a one hour layover to a layover of OVER EIGHT HOURS.
2. A promise from a Spirit rep that if I booked a leg of a trip through another airline (because of the above insane schedule change and because it was so last minute that Spirit couldn't help), they'd refund that cost back to my credit account...only to have them tell me they were wrong and I couldn't get my money back. They told me this weeks AFTER my trip and after my waiting weeks for someone to credit my account with the promised funds. Then they promised to see what their Account Manager could do. Nothing happened here. I never heard from him/her and have seen no money. I'm still waiting.
3. I've called the Corporate telephone number numerous times only to have: nobody answer the phone (2-3 times), been put on hold for at least 30-45 minutes numerous times, been told my call would be returned that day- only to have to wait three days- when I finally called them back. I've also had a rep relay a message to me, only to hear later that it was a lie (a different lie from the one mentioned above).
4. There seems to be a fee for everything. And, if you have voucher money to use (what we got stuck with) and have to book more than one flight, good luck! I've paid fees for name changes, flight changes, voucher changes ($40 each time for just USING the vouchers!), and a fee for having a live rep on the phone make changes (vs. the web site, which doesn't work often). Some fees are reasonable, some just off the charts ridiculous.
5. I was so frustrated I broke down and wrote a letter to the heads of Spirit. In the letter I expressed my frustration and asked them if this was a typical experience for a Spirit customer or if they knew this type of treatment was going on. I said I hoped they'd at least write me and try to clear Spirit's name. Nobody has contacted me in almost two months. Not a surprise.
Sheesh. I could go on and on, as there is more to this horror story, but I won't.
A footnote: I've just finished using what I could of my Spirit vouchers (since they would not give me any of my money back from a forced cancellation). Two flights: both 1-1.5 hours late. No announcements of what to expect, what was happening, when we'd be departing, no apologies, nothing. Nobody was even at the gate until almost an hour after we were to board.
You get what you pay for. BEWARE.
Best of luck on your trip!
