You might want to try the former Main Street, now called Bounce. It's across the street and and a block south from Woody's. They have a jazz singer on weekends, and straight people even come in. It's a friendly place. It's mainly a nice older crowd and there are often women there. They just opened a new dance club upstairs. Check out the Casa Laguna Inn to stay.
