I agree. SEA is lacking a great hotel IME. I'd say the Fairmont is the best, but the Quality/$ ratio is not very good. I've had good luck at the W. It's so dark in places that you need a flashlight, but it delivers a nice low-level luxury product. The rooms can be nice. The lobby and bar are very compact, but are as hip as you woud expect.

I havent expereinced the local lux hotels, but I hear that they are good.
