My advice would be to try and avoid the FCC totally: if you get a stand in the main T1 gate area (i.e. gates 19/20+ IIRC) you walk down towards passport control mixing with departing pax (if you were planning to leave T1). If you walk towards the end of that corridor towards the escalators which take you up to passport control (IME, just sniff out the damn queue ) you will see a security checkpoint just opposite the BD lounge before the 'slope' area which leads back up to the main shopping complex, sorry, terminal (near the Terraces). If you go through there, you're back airside proper for your SF flight (you could even chance the lounge based on your inbound CE boarding pass if you have no status for the WT+ leg - worth an ask, but can't guarantee it).

I did this last year, landing from ARN and going on to MAD via the lounge. ARN was late, I was a tad worried...there was no need. This was the easiest connection I've ever done I did start a thread about it asking for options lest I arrived at a non-20's gate and there were answers for that too, will try to dig it out and post back...Edit: found it
