I have to admit, that all those comments about longer lines at LHR and the thread about enforcing the policy on late arrivals do worry me a bit, so I would like to ask some local knowledge of LHR if possible.
I will arrive Saturday from Hamburg at 12:15 on CE. My plane for SFO leaves at 13:40 where I will travel in WT+. This leaves a window of 1:35 h and the person on the phone booking my travel never stated anything about this being to short.
Now, as far as I do understand it, I will check in my bags in HAM so I will not have to deal with luggage. I do understand from the MMB that I will have to pass security on going out, going to the Flight connection center to get my boarding pass for the long flight, pass security again, and then go to the gate of my departing flight.
Any suggestion on how I can increase my chances to not miss that flight?
Coming from CE on the inflight, I should have something called a fast track which as I understand it allows me to get through that one faster. Is this correct?
Also, can my boarding passes be printed in Hamburg completly or will I do have to get one at the flight connection center? Could it help to ask the FA on my first flight to please let somebody know that I will be there and do not want to be left there?
I have gone through all my available options aka the baa.com website with the not very informative graphics of the terminal (misses the sense of size) as well as all information on the MMB about that - the schematic drawing on ba.com is not very helpful.
I would really wish I could see a video or have a virtual reality model of LHR to get a sense of what I am up for.

Thanks in advance!
