Actually this CHC-MEL segment is part of a DONE4 that was bought last year and we were involuntarly downgraded. Due to simplicity we decided to do nothing since anything would probably involve an extra connection...which is to be avoided since we have children.
I do wonder what would happen if I try to check in at the Qantas business class line. It was Qantas that 'converted' this flight for us from QF to JQ. Anyone tried this?
