I am bronze FF but fly little within Australia so no chance of any real status

Will be flying BNE to LAX return in September so plan to do Platnium Challenge and fly using AA number. May fly internally as well. I am counting on completing challenge on BNE-LAX return provided my TA books right class and ensures my AA number is used.

I have a little over 100K Qantas FF points and will continue to accrue on credit cards. Cannot see how to transfer to AA with Australian future spend

Will be doing an overseas trip each year. Next year Europe maybe RTW

So my question was if using AA number can I spend QF FF points on AA services Domestic or otherwise.

Also will my OW status sapphire allow my wife travelling with me to enjoy lounge benefits of other carriers. If so then I plan to have her do the challenge next time so our status will overlap
