I had done this run before on the same flights back in Dec. It is actually the same plane. I did go through customs and then checked in at the counter. Just many questions and some chuckles. I was very upfront with customs and security. When I told them many miles I got, they understood.
I even got an operational upgrade on the return and I didn't even ask. :-)
