It's typically more difficult to use a hidden city on a R/T, but there are ways to do it. I know folks here in CLT who manage to find a way to do it with GSO sometimes, but it usually requires creative scheduling or a one-way car rental. I've never bothered because I don't mind picking up the extra segment/base miles
