My experience mirrors Fredd's. All passports requiring extra pages go to one processing office in the country. We sent in a passport, having several weeks before a trip. The calendar pages flew by, and the trip date neared. We had to track down the phone number to find where the passport was; then pay the money to have it expedited.
Now, I will simply pay the expedite fee up front or get more pages overseas. I simply can't ever be without my passport for two months.
