I volunteered to bump myself from a full flight, and Delta gave me a First Class seat on the next flight (only 2 hours later), and $150 credit on my next flight. I wonder if this First Class seat counts differently under Delta's SkyMiles program, and if I am entitled to a mileage bonus? I am not an elite member (yet), but I do get the thrill of the hunt squeezing every last drop of value from these business trips.
