Just looking at my nights to date on Marriott and noticed that the totals don't match what I thought they should be (short by a couple of nights).

It looks like on some hotels where I check out early, but pay for the second night, I don't get the stay credit, but I do get the points credit.

It appears this happens when I check out in the evening , i.e. take a room for 2 days, but leave the second day in the evening (i.e. 7:00 pm ) as I am flying out, I have paid for 2 nights and get the appropriate point credit, but not the stay credit.

Sorry if this sounds confusing, but to me it is.

Does this sound correct?
