My wife and I moved to the Tampa area about a year ago, and we've enjoyed discovering new restaurants on a regular basis. What are some of your favorite restaurants in and around Tampa? So far, here are some of our faves:

1. Pelagia, in the Renaissance Hotel at Int'l Plaza. Recently opened, and we went there for V'day last weekend. Amazing Mediterranean cuisine in a trendy, but welcoming, atmosphere. Service was also great. Our new favorite!

2. Columbia (St Pete Pier location). This is the only Columbia we've tried (on our first weekend in town) and we loved the food. Great sangria, and nice view of the Bay.

3. Green Iguana, our favorite casual place. The one in St Pete is closest to our house, and we love taking visiting friends and family there for a quick bite or a place to hang out at night.

4. Soho Sushi. Our favorite sushi restaurant that we've discovered so far. Unassuming storefront, but the sushi is tremendous! The Tampa roll is dy-no-mite!
