Do the passes work on codeshares and UA metal flights? I thought these passes were only good on AC metal and pure AC (or JAZZ) flights, not even codeshares. AC flies to/from SAN just once a day, and it doesn't look all that practical since connecting from YEG are problematic both going and returning requires you to spend an extra night in SAN before departing the next morning. Otherwise, trips rely on connections to/from UA flights that serve this city.

While it looks like a good, flexible all-in price -- with the upgrading possibilities you mention (except on UA metal) -- when AC does put these routes on sale, the pricing drops for even T+ by almost half.

Unfortunately the email link to these passes crashed my system the other day, so I am hesitant to check out the details at the moment. But you had better confirm the validity on non-AC metal. Otherwise, you'll have to make alternate arrangements ex- LAX, SFO or LAS to get into SAN. Flight times otherwise from YEG just don't look practical for business travelers.
