I must admit, a couple of years ago, I flew Ryanair from Prestwick to Bournemouth and it was in the January when there were heavy snowfalls throughout the UK. We flew down and there and circled above Bournemouth and flew back to Prestwick. The reason was 'due to the weather in Bournemouth airport', however it was later found out that planes due to arrive in Stanstead were diverted to Bournemouth and there was no space for our plane on the runway.
I wrote a letter to customer service and got a quick reply, but it wasn't what I wanted to hear. "Not our problem" was more or less what they said!
